Tyler Junior College’s basketball teams are at home on Saturday with Texas College and UT Tyler on the road.


Wagstaff Gymnasium will host a Region XIV doubleheader.

The No. 13 Apache Ladies (16-2 overall, 6-2 Region XIV) will play host to Angelina College (13-7, 6-4) at 2 p.m.

The Apaches (9-7, 1-7) take on Bossier Parish (4-15, 0-8) at 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, both TJC squads travel to Athens to meet Trinity Valley in a DH. The women play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.

The Angelina Lady Roadrunners will play host to Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, while Bossier Parish plays host to Navarro at 7 p.m. the same night.


The Texas College Steers are in San Antonio on Saturday to play Our Lady of the Lake in a Red River Athletic Conference DH.

The women are scheduled to play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.

The Steers are 8-6 overall and 3-1 in league play. The Lady Steers are 1-6 and 0-4.

Both teams are home on Tuesday to face the University of St. Thomas at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium.


The UT Tyler Patriots travel to Clarksville, Arkansas, to meet the Ozarks on Saturday in an American Southwest Conference DH.

The No. 6 UT Tyler women’s team is 14-1 overall and are atop the ASC East with an 8-0 mark. The Lady Eagles are 5-5 and 1-4.

The UT Tyler men are 8-6 and 3-5, while Ozarks is 6-6 and 0-5.

The women play at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3 p.m.

The Patriots play at Arlington Baptist in a doubleheader on Thursday before returning home to face Bellhaven on Jan. 23.
