Man sought in Wood County manhunt shot multiple times, taken to hospital

Daniel McLemore, the subject of an intensive manhunt, was confirmed to be in custody after being shot multiple times by law enforcement in Wood County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Wood County officials, McLemore was shot at least twice suffering major injuries to his left leg and arm and abdomen area and was taken by helicopter to “an undisclosed hospital” in the area.
The shooting happened near County Road 3145, where authorities were searching for McLemore after they said he fired at the DPS trooper and Wood County deputy as they responded to a domestic disturbance in the 3500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 2088, near Quitman at 11 p.m. Monday. McLemore allegedly shot at the officers as while standing in his driveway after the law enforcement officers pulled in.
Authorities said a warrant was issued for McLemore for attempted capital murder, and his bond was preset at $500,000.
A dispatcher confirmed that no law enforcement officers were injured.
