Longview murder suspect in custody after weekend murder

A man was charged with murder in connection with the death of a man found with gunshot wounds in Longview over the weekend.
Cody Dewayne Fortman, 21, is accused of shooting Nicholas Trevion Johnson, 22.
Johnson was found shot multiple times inside a house on Annette Drive on Sunday.
Johnson was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Fortman, who was identified as the suspect through cooperation with witnesses, was arrested Monday afternoon. He was booked into the Gregg County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
