Stay connected

As school districts assess the possibility of closures due to weather, safety concerns, or other emergencies, school districts say it is crucial for parents and guardians to stay informed through official channels. They should always rely on alerts directly from the school district and ensure their contact information is up to date with the school to receive notifications about closures, delays, or other important updates.

Parents and guardians should note if they do not see a school cancellation on the district’s website, social media, call-out system, or through email, then the schools are open and operating on a normal schedule. Staying connected with the district’s communication system helps ensure that families are prepared and informed.

Local school districts also communicate with local TV stations and the Tyler Morning Telegraph and other outlets to provide the latest updates.
