East Texas Comedy Festival tickets on sale

Tickets to East Texas Comedy Festival, June 21 through 25 in Tyler, are on sale at libertytyler.com. A VIP five-night pass, that includes food, performer meet-and-greet sessions and priority seating, costs $100.
The festival opens at 7 p.m. June 21 at Liberty Hall with “Spaceballs,” a 1987 comedy spoof of “Star Wars” starring Mel Brooks, John Candy, Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga.
Paul Varghese, who has been on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and other shows, performs at 7 p.m. June 22 at Rick’s on the Square.
Chris Fairbanks, whose credits include, “Late Night with Conan O’Brian,” performs at 7 p.m. June 23 at Liberty Hall.
On June 24, the improv acts The Band and The Boys perform at 8 p.m. at Liberty Hall. Dallas-based The Band is made up of Bryan Hardy, Chad Cline, Dan Glaser, Jason Folks and Steve Hargrave. The musical director is Jeff Poteat.
The Boys are Susan Messing, a founding member of Chicago’s infamous Annoyance Theater, and Rachael Mason, of the Second City Improv All-Stars.
On June 25 Tyler’s Card 53 will perform at 7 p.m. at Liberty Hall.
Then, at 9 p.m., headliner Michael Winslow will take the stage. He played Sgt. Larvelle Jones in the “Police Academy” movies.
