The Tyler Independent School District has once again been recognized for its financial reporting.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the district, according to a news release from the organization.

This is the 14th time the district has received the award. The accolade recognizes the district for the annual financial report, including its independent audit and financial statements.

The award is given to districts that demonstrate a “spirit of full disclosure.”
