Robert E. Lee tennis blanks Mesquite Horn, remains unbeaten in league play

Robert E. Lee team tennis defeated Mesquite Horn 10-0 to move to 3-0 in District 11-6A competition.

MESQUITE – Robert E. Lee team tennis cruised to another District 11-6A victory, defeating Mesquite Horn 10-0 on Thursday to move to 3-0 in league play.

Lee began its dominance in doubles with a sweep of the boys and girls doubles matches.



Evan von Eshbach and Nathan Drain won 6-0, 6-0 with Matthew Watson and A.J. Bisagno taking care of business as well, 6-4, 6-1. In the Lee’s third boys doubles match, Cole Von Eschenback and Jackson Nowlin won in straight sets.

In mixed doubles, Claire Fisher and Peyton Drain won 6-1, 6-1 to give the Red Raiders a sizeable lead entering the singles. Fisher won her match in straight sets for the 10th and final point to clinch the team match.

The first-place Raiders are in action on Tuesday at Mesquite.
