The city of Tyler asks residents to carpool to this weekend’s fireworks show at Lindsey Park.
The free show is scheduled for 9 p.m. Saturday at the park, at 12557 Spur 364 West.
According to a news release, residents should arrive early, and if it’s before 3 p.m. they should park in the two main parking lots by the soccer fields.
Sunny 106.5 is slated to broadcast live before the fireworks and provide patriotic music to accompany the fireworks display, according to a news release. The park opens at 6 a.m. and food vendor Ted Kamel will be at the event for concessions.
State Sen. Kevin Eltife is the primary sponsor for the fireworks show, along with Mayor Martin Heines, Greenberg Smoked Turkey Inc., the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jeff Buie Used Car Sales, Sunny 106.5 and other anonymous donors.
Alcohol and private fireworks are not allowed in city parks.
