LINDALE — The Lindale Fire Department has a new chief.
Fire Chief Jeremy Larue was sworn in Monday by outgoing chief Joe Yeakley. The fire department said the ceremony “marked both a heartfelt farewell and a promising new beginning.”
The department said it is grateful to Yeakley for his years of “dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to the Lindale community.”
“His impact on this department and the lives he’s touched along the way will not be forgotten,” the department said in a Facebook post. “We will truly miss his steady presence, and we wish him all the best in his well-deserved next chapter.”
Ushering in new leadership, the department said it is confident in Larue’s abilities to lead the department into the future.
“His experience, passion, and dedication to serving our community make him the right person to guide our department forward,” the department said.
The department also introduced new officers serving in leadership roles. Troy Pritchard is now an assistant chief; Jordan Hicks is a captain; and Brad Brown and Elijah Krajewski are both serving as lieutenants.
“We’re excited to welcome these dedicated individuals into their new positions and are confident they will continue to serve the Lindale community with excellence, integrity, and leadership,” the department said.
Returning officers include: Clay Williamson, assistant fire chief; Jacob Green, captain; Josh Johnson, captain; and Caleb Laskowski, lieutenant.
“Your experience, leadership, and steady presence are vital to our team, and we are grateful to have you continuing in these essential roles,” the department said. “Together, this team of officers represents the strength, professionalism, and heart of the Lindale Fire Department. We look forward to a great year ahead under their leadership!”
