15-4A/16-4A Area Track and Field Meet set for Thursday in Lindale

Lindale’s Eagle Stadium will host the Districts 15-4A/16-4A Area Track and Field Meet on Thursday.

The event will feature competitors from Athens, Brownsboro, Canton, Carthage, Cumberland Academy, Gilmer, Henderson, Kemp, Kilgore, Lindale, Pine Tree, Spring Hill, Mabank, Chapel Hill and Van.



Events begin at 10 a.m. with boys high jump, triple jump and discus and girls long jump, pole vault and shot put.

The girls and boys 3,200-meter runs will take place at 10:30 a.m.

The girls high jump, triple jump and discus and the boys long jump, pole vault and shot put will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The running finals are set to begin at 2 p.m.

The running schedule is 4×100 relay, 2 p.m.; 800 meters, 2:15 p.m.; 100/110 hurdles, 2:30 p.m.; 100 meters, 2:45 p.m.; 4×200 relay, 3 p.m.; 400 meters, 3:15 p.m.; 300 hurdles, 3:30 p.m.; 200 meters, 3:45 p.m.; 1,600 meters, 4 p.m.; and 4×400 relay, 4:15 p.m.

The top four finishers in each event will qualify for the Class 4A Region II April 18-19 at East Texas A&M University.
