Which Tyler businesses have opened, closed so far in March?

There have been several new business openings, closures and expansions in the Tyler area so far in March.
Among them:
Scratch Kitchen Provisions
Scratch Kitchen Provisions, a business known for its made-from-scratch meals and sweets, is transitioning to a food truck. The company, which serves Tyler, Troup, Jacksonville, Arp, Whitehouse and Henderson, will soon offer breakfast and lunch from its mobile kitchen.

Joann Fabrics
Joann Fabric and Crafts, an arts and crafts retailer, is closing all of its U.S. stores, including the Tyler location at The Village at Cumberland Park.
The closures come after the company filed for bankruptcy in January. The company, established in 1943, had initially planned to close around 500 stores but has now decided to cease operations entirely.
An exact closure date has not been announced, but Biz Journals reported most Joann stores will stay open until the end of May. All products will be discounted for going-out-of-business sales.
Joann Fabric and Crafts is located at 8950 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler and its current operating hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Denny’s
The fate of the Denny’s location at 3244 W Gentry Pkwy. is uncertain after the company announced plans to close up to 90 more locations in 2025. The diner chain revealed it closed 88 locations in 2024 and plans further closures this year.
However, Denny’s has not yet disclosed which specific locations will be affected.

FireFish Sushi Bar & Asian Bistro
FireFish Sushi Bar & Asian Bistro is nearing completion of its new location at 3709 Troup Hwy., Suite 700, in Tyler with a grand opening now expected in mid-March.
This new venture is a collaboration between Chef Stevenley, a former Nobu Sushi chef, and Steve Weng, combining over 30 years of experience in Asian cuisine. FireFish aims to offer some of the best sushi and Asian Bistro dishes in the area.

323 and Earl Campbell Parkway
The Tyler Economic Development Council is preparing for new business growth in west Tyler, with several retailers and companies setting up operations near Loop 323 and Earl Campbell Parkway.
New businesses coming to the area include Brookshire Grocery Company, Chick-fil-A, 7 Brew, Smalls Sliders, Freddy’s Steakburgers and Jersey Mike’s.
In addition to retail growth, Heaton Eye Associates is renovating its 80,000-square-foot facility, which is under construction by HGR General Contractors. TechServ Engineering & Consulting has also moved into a 45,114-square-foot building previously occupied by Centene.
4Kids4Families
4Kids4Families, a contractor for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, is opening new offices in Athens and Longview to expand its services in Region 4. The organization provides foster care and family support. The new locations will serve as workspaces for staff.
Region 4 includes 23 counties and has 1,344 children in foster care.
4Kids4Families will host grand opening and ribbon-cutting events in partnership with the Athens and Longview chambers of commerce. The Athens event is scheduled for 4 p.m. March 4 at 411 E. Clinton Ave., and the Longview event will take place at 4 p.m. on March 11 at 415 N. Center St.

Integrity Urgent Care
Integrity Urgent Care has opened a new location in Tyler, located next to Walmart on Highway 31. The facility offers walk-in urgent care services for common illnesses and minor injuries, with online check-in available.
The clinic provides treatment for flu, COVID-19, strep throat, RSV and minor injuries such as sprains, fractures and lacerations. It is also equipped with on-site X-ray services and lab testing for fast and comprehensive care.

Centera Bank
Centera Bank is set to open a new banking center and office location in Tyler, according to a state filing. The 26,895-square-foot space, formerly home to Wagner Cadillac on South Broadway, is undergoing a full renovation to accommodate the bank’s operations.
The new facility will replace Centera’s current location at 110 N. College Ave. The site is on the east side of South Broadway, just north of South Loop 323.
