Thanks from the ‘Tall Texan’s’ son
To outdoor columnist Steve Knight,
Thank you for the nice article (on Jan. 19) about my father (Martin Frank Wood, “Bubba”). It has been very encouraging to hear the all the accolades and appreciation. I am so proud of the life he lived. I know you worked with him for years on keeping Texas Parks and Wildlife in line. Thank you for being his friend.
Keep up the good work.
Frank Wood
We need a capable president
I’m 90 years old and still able to do things I did 50 years ago.
And if you think we forget, you’re wrong.
Do you know how we defeated Japan? It took a capable president, Harry S. Truman, to let them know we were not idiots. Today, Japan is an industrious country and we see a lot of their accomplishments.
Why not another president who starts his name with T-R-U? One day, the Lord’s trumpet will sound and he’ll be the world’s leader.
