Carhartt now open in Tyler

American workwear brand Carhartt has brought durable and rugged gear to Tyler, creating more than 20 jobs in the city ahead of the state-of-the-art distribution center set to open in Fort Worth this fall.

The iconic brand recently opened the doors to its new store at the Village at Cumberland Park.

The opening marks Carhartt’s 36th standalone retail store in the U.S. and the only company-owned location in the state of Texas.

Director of direct-to-consumer store strategy and experience at Carhartt Mark Kastner said as demands continued to increase, the brand moved forward with expansions.

“Home to thriving vocations in oil, gas, agriculture, manufacturing and transportation, we are thrilled to add Tyler to our retail footprint to make Carhartt’s durable and versatile workwear easily available to the local community,” he said. “As the demand for skilled workers continues to skyrocket across the nation, we are expanding our retail presence to meet an increased need for accessible gear that supports the lifestyles of the hardworking people in Texas and helps them create their own histories – both on and off the job site.”

As the brand’s only standalone store in Texas, the new Tyler location marks the first chapter in Carhartt’s expanding presence throughout the state.

With plans to open a new retail store in Fort Worth later this year and a separate state-of-the-art, 1.2 million square foot distribution center in Fort Worth set to open in October, Carhartt continues to increase its footprint to ensure Texans have access to its premium workwear.

The Tyler location occupies approximately 3,750 square feet and is expected to bring more than 20 new jobs to the local community.

Featuring Carhartt’s iconic styles and innovative technology, including the Force performance line, Rain Defender durable water-repellent finish, Rugged Flex technology for optimal mobility and more, the new storefront will offer hardworking gear for men, women and children, as well as footwear and accessories.

Carhartt is located at 8916 South Broadway Avenue in the Village at Cumberland Park. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
