TJC Baseball: Apaches fall 10-9 to Paris JC

In a late Saturday night game, the No. 2 Tyler Junior College Apaches dropped a 10-9 baseball contest to Paris Junior College at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.
Tyler Junior College, ranked No. 2 in NJCAA Division III, opened its home season on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

The second game was a wild affair with the Apaches tying the game at 9-9 with two runs in the seventh, but the Dragons scored in the top of the ninth and held on for the 10-9 win.
Jacob Johnson led the Apaches with a 4 for 5 outing with five RBIs. He had two singles and two doubles and a run scored. Tyler Linneweber had three hits and an RBI.
Others tops hitters for TJC were Dalton Davis (2 hits, RBI), Heath Hood (2 hits, RBI), Ren Reynolds (2 hits) and Tye Elie (1 hit).
Kyle Boudreaux led the Dragons with three hits, while Shelby Baker belted a home run. Camron Dollar two hits.
The Apaches’ next game is scheduled for Friday against Arkansas Baptist College at Mike Carter Field. The game is set for 2 p.m.
