More rain ahead

East Texas received from 2 to 5 inches of rain Sunday. That still leaves the area 3 to 5 inches below the normal rainfall year-to-date, but it did cut the previous deficit in half. We have a slight chance of showers this afternoon and evening when the main trough of low pressure supporting the weekend rain finally passing by on its way east. The rest of the week looks dry, but another rain event is shaping up for the weekend. High temperatures will be below the seasonal normals today and Tuesday.
