PARIS — Micaela Brown scored 17 points and Edgewood continued its postseason run with a 69-27 win over New Boston in a Class 2A area playoff Thursday.

Edgewood went into halftime with a 33-20 lead, and what turned out to be enough points for the victory.

Edgewood outscored New Boston 36-7 in the second half.

Courtney Holmes had 16 points and Hannah Jameson added 12 points for Edgewood (24-8).

Edgewood advances to next week’s regional quarterfinals to face the winner between Winnsboro and Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill.
