The weather will be warm and dry again today with highs in the mid-80s. An upper-level ridge of high pressure which has been in control of our weather since the weekend will move east of our area Wednesday. A trough of low pressure along the West Coast will move to the Rockies and out into the Plains by Friday. That will bring a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms to East Texas from Thursday afternoon through the weekend. There is a slight risk of severe storms Thursday.
