Freezing temps, December 7

Now that drier air has moved into place, precipitation has shut down East Texas. The drier air also is going to allow for even colder readings than we’ve seen so far this season — over the next several nights. Any ice that has accumulated on elevated surfaces will remain in place for several days until Sunday afternoon. As far as additional precipitation goes, our next crack at it will come late Saturday night, as a weak piece of energy crosses the area.
