Cool air and rain

While the calendar may say August, the weather will argue that fact — especially at night during the next few days. An unseasonably cool airmass has set up across East Texas, and that will continue to result in below normal temps for lows through Sunday morning. Computer models are hinting at some additional rainfall potential on Friday, as a strong system crosses the area in the Northwesterly flow aloft.
The pattern in place is notorious for bringing rainfall clusters across with little warning, since computer models do not analyze subtle features in that flow very well. This will require close monitoring of the radar trends upstream through Friday. Enjoy the pleasant weather!
