A servant’s heart is something that developed early in Ferrell Clyde Fisher.

A native Tylerite, Ferrell is a graduate of All Saints Episcopal School and the University of Texas at Tyler. She began making jewelry with her mom as a hobby in first grade and throughout her youth, would continue to exercise her creativity by trying to replicate necklace and bracelet designs she would run across in stores or online.

During her senior year, she unofficially started a business making earrings, bracelets, and necklaces for people upon request.

After high school graduation, Ferrell had opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti. On that trip, God spoke to her, and she realized that she would have to return. This trip marked the official start of her business, Lauren Ferrell Designs.

Through the sale of her jewelry, she was able to fund a return trip to Haiti and then decided to move there in 2019 as a part of an internship program with Mission of Hope. From there she managed retail stores for the organization in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic and had the opportunity to participate in their retail training and business development program.

Tyler drew her back when she came home to finish her last semester at UT Tyler. Lauren Ferrell Designs began to take off and, in the fall of 2021, Ferrell opened her first retail store on Troup Highway.

Ferrell became involved with GIVE (Girls Invested in Volunteer Efforts) in 2021, when she was approached to partner with the organization to assist with their fundraising efforts. GIVE is an organization created by the Women’s Fund of Smith County (WFSC) that is modeled after the giving circle that the group established in 2007.

Through GIVE, high school girls get to experience the joy of collective giving and grant-making by raising money during the school year, researching local non-profits, and awarding a grant to an organization that has a mission or project that speaks to their collective hearts.

Ferrell’s idea was to create a special bracelet for GIVE that could be sold to the attendees at the annual Women’s Fund Power of the Purse luncheon. She not only offered to donate all of the materials, but also assisted the girls in constructing all of the bracelets themselves! This was the start of a wonderful and very fruitful partnership for GIVE.

Ferrell has assisted the program for the past three years, developing new designs that are reflective of the Women’s Fund and GIVE, but also are trendy and high-quality. Through her generosity, the GIVE girls have been able to grant close to $30,000 to three very deserving nonprofits chosen by the girls.

Ferrell is active in the community, serving in the Junior League of Tyler, the board for Tyler Innovation Pipeline and as an active member of Dayspring Church. She is married to Conner and has a “fur baby” named Betty who is usually at the store greeting customers.

With regard to GIVE, she expresses how much she has loved the opportunity to partner with an organization that is fostering the desire to give back in young girls. She loves helping the high school girls create something special for the community that helps to remind them of the mission of the Women’s Fund and GIVE.

Lauren Ferrell Designs in located at 5000 Old Bullard Road, Suite C, in Tyler. She sells a variety of clothing, gifts, and her original Jewelry designs including permanent jewelry. She also hosts numerous camps to teach girls and women the art of jewelry making.
