Several businesses in the Tyler area have closed over the past month, while others have opened or expanded.
Among them this November:
Rose City Comedy
Rose City Comedy will be renovating where Cantina Laredo previously was (7428 Old Jacksonville Hwy. in Tyler) and turning it into a space that is more than three times the size of their current venue on Front Street in Tyler.
Once completed, Rose City Comedy will offer audience members a better choice of seating, more performances, and more types of comedy, along with an elevated appetizer menu and high-end cocktails.

Cantina Laredo
Cantina Laredo, located at 7428 Old Jacksonville Highway in front of Swann’s Furniture, will soon serve its final authentic Mexican food dishes for the last time. It was announced on social media that the 5,000-square-foot space would become the new home of a comedy club (Rose City Comedy).
Secret Cenote
Secret Cenote, a boutique hotel, has opened at 205 E. Commerce Street in downtown Jacksonville.
The hotel offers a tranquil stay near downtown shopping and dining options. Renovations began in November 2022, transforming the former A Circle of Ten, Inc. building into a luxury destination. The ground floor remains under renovation, and the owner is seeking a retail tenant. Interested parties can contact Bergfeld Realty Co.

PJ’s Coffee
PJ’s Coffee is now open in Tyler at 6555 Old Jacksonville Highway. With a drive-thru and indoor seating, it’s ready to serve customers from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.
Throughout opening week, hot or iced coffee is buy one get one 50% off. Healthcare personnel, first responders, veterans, active military, students, and teachers can also take advantage of a 10% discount.

TRU TAN
TRU TAN, a sunless tanning service, is relocating its Kinsey Crossing location. The move is expected to be completed by mid-December, and the new address will be announced soon.
