Jacksonville fisherman Jim Hamblet will detail his recent fishing trip across Alaska at the Lone Star Fly Fishers program at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Main Building of Tyler Junior College’s West Campus, 1530 S SW Loop 323.

Hamblet will tell about his five-week trek across Alaska to experience a number of fishing adventures. Traveling by car, plane and hiking the fisherman went from the Arctic Ocean down the Wulick River in pursuit of the ocean run of char and graylings. He then traveled down the Copper River to the Tangle River after rainbow trout, followed by a move into the White Mountain Wilderness area and the Nome River for king salmon.

The meeting and presentation are open to the public.
