East Texas will be well-represented in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star games this summer in San Antonio.

On the North football team will be Jake Parker of Whitehouse, DeRodrick Alexander of Longview, Calvin Bryant of Daingerfield, Damontes Dowell of Malakoff and Clay Wiley of Kilgore, the THSCA announced on Tuesday.

Joey McGuire of Cedar Hill will coach the North All-Stars.

The South football team includes Blake Bogenshutz of Carthage and Jeffrey Wilson of Elkhart.

Bob Gillis of El Campo will coach the South All-Stars.

The 80th annual All-Star football game is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 22 at the Alamodome.

Three East Texans are in the 70th All-Star basketball game, which is scheduled for July 21 at the Alamo Convocation Center.

Anthony Sanders of Athens is on the North squad, while Robbie Rockwell of Tatum and Samuel Scott of Diboll are on the South squad.

Jaime Boswell of San Angelo Central will coach the North, while Lonny Hubbard of Cibolo Steele will coach the South.

The All-Star games will be held in conjunction with the THSCA Coaching School and Convention July 20-23 in San Antonio.

The THSCA also said the games will be presented by Fuddruckers.

Fuddruckers, the Texas-born World's Greatest Hamburger brand, is celebrating its fourth year as sponsor of THSCA's All-Star events.

Fuddruckers' contribution will support the All-Star football and basketball teams, which are comprised of Texas high school players from all classifications across the state.
