Warren, Frankston upend Troup

TROUP — The Frankston Indians defeated Troup 53-42 on the road, ending the Tigers’ undefeated district campaign.

The Indians were led by Cory Warren, who finished with 23 points, 19 coming in the second half.



Troup’s leading scorer was Shaq Rollins who put in 14 for the Tiger. Ross and Lacy both finished with 11.

The Indians came out of halftime up by 3 and didn’t allow Troup to regain the lead, putting up 20 in the fourth quarter victory.

Both teams wrap the season up with (11-1) district records.

In the first half of the doubleheader, Troup’s Lady Tigers won 59-42.

Tonesha Kincade and Cheney Cover both had 14 points on the night to set the pace. Josee Ross finished with 13.

Frankston’s top scorer, Lateesha Gray, finished with 13.

The Lady Tigers finished the district season 7-6, while the Maidens were 5-9 in district.
