Tyler East beats Buna

Joseph Spitzer belts a double in Sunday night's game against Buna in Houston.

HOUSTON — Joseph Spitzer struck out the side in the top of the seventh and Grant Satcher came through with the game-winning hit in the bottom of the frame as Tyler East scored a 7-6 win over Buna on Sunday in the State 50/70 Baseball Tournament.

Satcher had three hits and four RBIs. Britton Anderson also had three hits and two RBIs. Anderson also scored three runs.

Chance King and Spitzer each had two hits, while Jack Gullatt added a single.

Both Spitzer and Anderson had doubles.

Spitzer scored two runs, while King and Gannon Tauscher each scored runs.

The Rose City squad rallied from a five-run deficit.

On Saturday, the Tyler East All-Stars dropped a 6-5 decision to Sugar Land.

Adding hits for Tyler were Tauscher, Spitzer, Anderson, Satcher, Ty Keys and Koen Kissinger.

RBIS were supplied by Spitzer, Anderson and Kissinger with runs scored by King, Tauscher, Anderson, Satcher and Colton Beeler.
