Schrade-Slaughter still in front at Azalea Invitational

Mike Schrade and Ryan Slaughter maintained their lead after the second round of the 29th annual Azalea Invitational Golf Tournament.
Schrade and Slaughter carded a 68 on the Hollytree Country Club course on Saturday for a 36-hole total of 135.
They lead by two strokes over a pair of teams — Jeff Lee-Bill Steen (69-68—137) and Jerry Hudgins-John Dowdall (68-69—137).
The prestigious tournament is a 54-hole event that matches some of the best amateurs in the state. The tournament is hosted by Tylerite Jimmy Wheeler, a former SMU golfer.
The third and final round is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. today with a shotgun start.
