Jacksonville College won the nightcap of Ladies Day at the Region XIV basketball tournament on Wednesday at the Herrington Patriot Center.
No. 3 seed JC, led by Khadijah Carter’s 14 points, scored a 57-42 win over the No. 6 seed Lady Rangers.
The Lady Jaguars (18-13) advance to the semifinals against No. 2 seed Blinn (29-2) at 3 p.m. Friday.
Kilgore ends its season at 11-16.
Kalyn Shorter was also in double figures for Jacksonville.
Amanda Lawson led the Lady Rangers with 23 points and nine rebounds.

Angelina 68, Panola 64
Demetria Foreman connected on a 3-point play with 19.7 seconds remaining to propel Angelina to 68-64 Region XIV Women’s Tournament quarterfinal win over Panola on Wednesday at the Herrington Patriot Center.
No. 4 Angelina (18-13) advances to the semifinals to meet No. 1 Trinity Valley (30-1) at 1 p.m. Friday. No. 5 Panola ends its season 14-17.
The Lady Runners were trailing 64-63 when Foreman drove the lane and connected while being fouled. She hit the free throw for the 66-64 lead. Panola worked the ball around, but missed two inside shots. The second rebound was a tie-up and the possession went to Angelina with 4.9 seconds left. Diamond Webb was then fouled and swished both free throws for the final score.
Foreman (22 points) and Lexi Harris (17 points) had double-doubles for Angelina as both had 10 rebounds. Webb added 11 points and DeAnna Waters had 10 boards.
Atoe Jackson paced Panola with 18 points 10 rebounds, while Liz Handy added 14.

Three Lady Bucs hit in double figures as No. 8-ranked Blinn scored a 69-55 win over Paris on Wednesday in a Region XIV women’s basketball tournament quarterfinal at the Herrington Patriot Center.
Blinn (29-2), the No. 2 seed, advances to the semifinals at 3 p.m. Friday. Paris, the No. 7 seed, ends its season at 11-18.
Audrisa Harrison led Blinn with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Fatima Adams added 15, while Moe Bedford added 14.
Paris was paced by Voche’ Martin’s 11 points.
