Pump Jacks drop third straight, 9-5 to Victoria

VICTORIA — The Generals scored nine runs on six hits as Victoria defeated East Texas 9-5 on Wednesday.

Half of the Generals’ hits were for extra bases and they drew seven walks. Former Bullard Brook Hill standout and current Texas A&M player JB Moss drew three walks and scored twice, as did Victoria lead-off hitter Frank Cloutier.



Jacob Hubert supplied three RBIs for the Generals (13-5), with Drew Featherston going 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs from the nine hole.

Pump Jacks (6-11) starter Ben Mordini recorded one out before exiting with three earned runs and three walks to his name.

Brooks Marlow and Connor Huesers had two hits apiece for East Texas, which returns home to host Acadiana at 7:05 p.m. today.
