Patriots win fifth straight

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jordan Cannon scored a game-high 25 points as the UT Tyler Patriots won their fifth straight game, an 82-71 win over Rhodes College on Saturday.

Along with Cannon, also hitting in double figures for the Patriots (9-1) were Joe Stephens (15 points), Darren Houliston (14) and Travis Dykman (12).



Houliston added 10 rebounds, while Dykman contributed six assists and four steals.

John Dounavant led Rhodes (5-5) with 23 points, while Andrew Galow added 18.

The Patriots return to play on Monday, meeting Millsaps at 1 p.m. in Jackson, Miss.
