Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes II was in Orlando, Florida on Monday as part of ESPN’s annual Jon Gruden QB Camps series.

Mahomes II, a Whitehouse graduate, took questions from Gruden (pictured, left) on growing up as the son of a Major League pitcher, him being drafted out of high school by the Detroit Tigers as a pitcher and his love for football and love for cutting it loose with his powerful arm, which Gruden later said reminded him of Hall of Famer Brett Favre.

Portions of the episode aired on Monday during NFL Countdown, NFL Live and SportsCenter.

The complete episode can be watched Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. on ESPN2.

Mahomes II was one of seven quarterbacks invited to Orlando for the series, which was set at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Also featured this year are Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, Tennessee’s Josh Dobbs, Miami’s Brad Kaaya, Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer, Pittsburgh’s Nathan Peterman and North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky.
