Lee slates youth football camp

Robert E. Lee will host its Third Annual Youth Football Camp on Saturday at the Lee High School practice field.

The camp is open for youth incoming Kindergarten through eighth grade. It is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon and will be taught by Lee head coach Darrell Piske and his staff, along with current and former players — many of who are playing collegiately.

The goal of the camp, according to organizer Andy Bergfeld, is for kids to have fun and learn some fundamentals about the game.

The cost for each camper is $10, which includes instruction, a T-shirt and tour of Lee’s Suddenlink Communications Field House.
