GARLAND — Robert E. Lee captured the District 11-5A team tennis title for the seventh straight season Tuesday at the Garland Tennis Center.
The Red Raiders defeated Longview 10-5 in the final match after beating Mesquite Horn 10-0 earlier in the day.
“It was an exciting win,” REL coach Jessica Taylor said. “It was a great win with a new group of boys on my team this year. And our girls pulled through and helped us out and played well today.”
Lee, which improved to 16-1 on the season, will compete in the regional meet Oct. 28-29 in Tyler.
