Tigers Tamed: Elysian Fields takes out Arp, 30-20

CARTHAGE — Trevor Spear accounted for 351 total yards to lead Elysian Fields to a 30-20 upset victory against Arp in the Class 2A Division II regional playoffs Saturday night at Bulldog Stadium.

Spear completed 10 of 19 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns, plus carried the ball 21 times for 114 yards and a score to advance Yellowjackets to the state quarterfinals after falling 43-13 to Arp during the regular season.



Zane Barge had three interceptions to lead the Elysian Fields (10-3) defense, which limited the Tigers to four yards a carry on the ground.

Arp finished the season 9-3.
