TROUP — Grace Community took home two victories from a season-opening dual match against Troup and Henderson.
The Lady Cougars beat Troup 21-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17 and Henderson 18-25, 25-20, 26-28, 25-17, 15-7.
Bethany Kimmey had 17 kills on the day while Rilee Miller had 70 assists over the two matches for Grace.

All Saints sweeps pair
LIBERTY CITY — All Saints opened its season with a pair of sweeps in a dual match against Sabine and Big Sandy.
The Lady Trojans topped Sabine 25-11, 25-20, 25-20 before taking out Big Sandy 25-10, 25-8, 25-17.
Katrina Kastmo led the way with 16 kills, 12 blocks and 12 digs in the two matches combined. Lanna Johnson also had 16 kills, adding nine digs. Madeline Wynne supplied 10 blocks, 10 kills and five digs while Maddie Smith rounded out the effort with 37 assists on the day.
“The girls played very, very well,” first-year All Saints coach Bryan Winegeart said. “It was a good start.”

Gorman falls in five
QUITMAN — Bishop Gorman lost a five-set match to Quitman on Tuesday in the first game of its season.
The Lady Crusaders fell 25-23, 24-26, 25-21, 22-25, 15-6.
“It was a very tough-fought game on both sides,” Gorman coach Jessica Layne said.
Maddie Behm was perfect on 20 serves with two aces while Susannah Williams added 11 kills for the Lady Crusaders (0-1).
Gorman won the JV match 25-12, 25-11.
The Lady Crusaders next play in the Carthage Tournament on Thursday with pool play against White Oak, Overton and Nacogdoches.
