Longview rolls to win

DALLAS – The Longview Lobos used big plays to score a 75-43 win over the Dallas Jesuit Rangers on Saturday in a Class 6A Division II area football playoff game at Kincaide Stadium.
Longview (11-1) will next play Klein Collins (11-0) in the regional round, set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Baylor’s McLane Stadium in Waco. Jesuit ends its season at 7-5.
Both teams combined for over 1,200 yards in total offense, with each school cracking the 600-yard barrier in the contest.
The Lobos were led by Jaquan Edwards, who had 12 carries for 201 yards and four touchdowns. Edwards scored on runs of 66, 4, 16 and 57 yards. Keilyn Williams added 156 yards and three TDs on eight carries. Williams scored on runs of 35, 14 and 75 yards.
Lobo quarterback Haynes King connected on 6 of 6 passes for 157 yards and three TD passes. He threw touchdown passes to Kamden Perry (58 yards), A’Darius Carter (63) and Jaylin Brown (8).
Jesuit, who ran 91 offensive plays in the loss, got 428 yards passing and two touchdowns from Parker Towns. Tailback E.J. Smith rushed for 100 yards and two scores while adding 87 yards receiving, with receivers Fletcher Rosenbleeth (10 catches, 162 yards) and Matthew Priddy (7 catches, 118 yards) both catching touchdowns.
