Our Day to Shine

The Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation is conducting “Our Day to Shine” at football scrimmages and other sporting events around the state.

On Aug. 16, the Chapel Hill Bulldogs football team will host the Jasper Bulldogs in a scrimmage at Bulldog Stadium in New Chapel Hill. It is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

On Aug. 23, the Robert E. Lee Red Raiders football team will host the Pine Tree Pirates at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium. The sub-varsity is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.

All proceeds are being donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund. This day is known as “Our Day to Shine.” The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardships. To date over 900 schools have participated in “Our Day to Shine” and have raised over $614,000. The THSCEF has paid over $584,000.00 to athletes and coaches in need.
