Van’s Gandy spotless against Mabank
VAN — Nicole Gandy threw a perfect game as Van blanked Mabank 11-0 in five innings on Tuesday in District 15-3A softball action.
Gandy (7-2-1) recorded 12 strikeouts for the Lady Vandals (15-4-1, 6-0 District 15-3A), who received doubles from Hallee Carter, Haleigh Moore and Autumn McKinney.

Alto takes two against Mount Enterprise
ALTO — With a combined 31 runs in two games, Alto defeated Mount Enterprise 13-3 and 18-2 on Tuesday in District 21-1A action.
Carenza Johnson led the Lady Jackets with a double and two RBIs in Game 1 as Alto took advantage of 13 walks.
In Game 2, Alyssa Duplichain went 2 for 2 with a triple to power the Lady Jackets. Madison Crisp earned the win in both games for Alto (17-3, 9-0).

Brightwell perfect against Big Sandy
BIG SANDY — Carlisle’s Zach Brightwell struck out 13 of the 18 batters he faced as he hurled a perfect game against Big Sandy in a 10-0 victory on Tuesday in District 20-1A baseball action.
Brightwell improved to 6-1 on the mound for the Indians (11-3, 7-0 District 20-1A).
Kolton Heim went 3 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs to lead Carlisle at the plate.

Cougars rout Reicher
WACO — Austin Patrick struck out 11 in a complete-game one-hitter as Grace Community routed Waco Reicher 15-0 on Tuesday.
Mason Aldredge had three of the Cougars’ 17 hits, including a double.
Grace (15-4, 9-0 TAPPS 2-4A) notched seven extra-base hits, including triples from Jonny Spitzer and Adam Graham.
