LINDALE – Isaiah Davis rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and the Gladewater defense one again proved to be a stingy group as the Bears rolled to a 38-10 win over Lindale at Eagle Stadium.
Cameron Callaway rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown and completed 5 of 8 passes for 128 yards and a score. Austin Hawley had a touchdown catch for the Bears.
Lindale managed 157 total yards against the Bears, who pitched a shutout last week against Chapel Hill.
Gladewater took a 3-0 lead at the 6:17 mark of the opening quarter on a 31-yard field goal by Fernando Serrano, but Lindale went in front late in the second quarter on a 25-yard touchdown run by quarterback Montana Meador.
The Bears countered with a 10-yard scoring run by Davis and a 42-yard scoring strike from Callaway to Hawley before Callaway moved the Bears in front 24-7 with a 14-yard touchdown run.
Lindale pulled to within 24-10 on a field goal, but Davis put the contest away with touchdown runs of 33 and 56 yards in the fourth quarter.
Gladewater, now 4-0 on the year, is idle next week. Lindale drops to 1-4, and the Eagles are also idle this week.
