Arlington Grace Prep stops All Saints

The bus carrying the Arlington Grace Prep football team broke down en route to Tyler, causing more than an hour delay in the kickoff.
But the Lions were ready when they hit Mewbourne Field, scoring four first-half touchdowns in snapping the All Saints Trojans’ five-game winning streak, 28-7.
Daryn Carruthers had a big night for the Lions, grabbing five passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns on offense. On defense he picked off two passes.
Grace Prep scored with 56.8 seconds left in the first quarter when quarterback Mason Brewer hit Elijah Medina with a 6-yard TD pass. Medina added the PAT.
The Lions then scored three TDs in the second quarter for a 28-0 lead.
Brewer scored on a 21-yard run with 11:16 on the clock. Medina’s PAT made it 14-0.
Brewer added two TD passes in the final two minutes. First he hit Carruthers from 18 yards out at the 1:50 mark, followed by an 11-yard toss to Carruthers with 17 seconds on the clock.
Medina made both PATs.
All Saints scored with 6:52 on the clock in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard run by Nick Davis. Russell Wynne kicked the extra point.
Davis rushed 82 yards on seven carries, while sophomore quarterback Cor’Drell Radway hit on 12 of 27 pass attempts for 162 yards. He had three interceptions.
DJ White caught eight passes for 127 yards and he also had an interception.
Cayden Mitcham recoved a fumble for the Trojans.
Brewer hit on 20 of 32 passing attempts for 294 yards and three TDs with the one interception.
Grace Prep (5-4) plays at Fort Worth Southwest Christian next Friday, while All Saints (6-3) visits Dallas Covenant for a 1 p.m. kick on Saturday, Nov. 9.
