All Saints tops Grace

Coleton Oldham went 2 for 3 with a double at the plate and earned the win on the mound as All Saints took advantage of eight Grace Community errors in a 9-5 win in a battle of TAPPS 2-4A unbeaten on Wednesday.
The Trojans (19-4, 10-0) remained unbeaten in league play and will pay a return trip to the second-place Cougars (8-1) on Friday at 6 p.m.
Oldham (5-2) relieved Parker Towns in the fifth and struck out two in the final 2 2/3 innings.
Grace led 3-1 after three before All Saints scored three in the fourth to take its first lead. The Trojans added one in the fifth and four in the sixth to pull away.
Of the nine runs allowed by Cougars pitchers, five were unearned. Jake Wright was tagged for the loss, striking out four in five innings with two earned runs to his name.
Grace outhit All Saints 9-6, with Mason Aldredge leading the way with a 2-for-4 night including a solo home run. Jonny Spitzer, Adam Graham and Dylan Sumpter (double) all had two-hit games for the Cougars.
Michael Caruso and Towns, who struck out five, scored two runs apiece for the Trojans. Charlie Short went 2 for 3 with two RBIs while catcher Jack Hamm also tallied two RBIs.
