Henderson rolls over Tatum

TATUM – Trestan Ebner accounted for three touchdowns, and Henderson built a two touchdown lead early en route to a 45-13 win over the Tatum Eagles.
Ebner opened the scoring by tossing a 43-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Childers on a halfback pass, and Trae Hall scored from two yards out late in the opening quarter as the Lions built a 16-0 cushion.
The Eagles got on the board late in the second when LeMarcus Harmon capped a 12-play, 96-yard drive with an 11-yard run.
Henderson countered with a 6-yard TD run by Ebner to close out the first half, and then Hall bolted 74 yards on the first play of the second half to put the Lions in front 31-6.
A Hall-to-Ebner scoring pass of 32 yards made it a 38-6 contest with 3:02 to play in the third.
Henderson’s Lynn Freeney put the cap on the Lions’ scoring with a touchdown run late to cap a 12-play, 89-yard drive.
Tatum closed the scoring with a 70-yard run by Cedric White.
Henderson will visit Pittsburg and Tatum treks to Chapel Hill on Friday.
