Guard’s Weathers named ASB Player of the Week

Will Weathers, Bullard Brook Hill School quarterback, is the Week 5 “American State Bank — Player of the Week”, Tim Haugh, ASB General Manager of Consumer Finance, announced on Tuesday.

Weathers had a great game for Brook Hill against district foe Dallas Shelton, as he had 288 total yards of offense and accounted for seven touchdowns. He was 14 of 18 passing attempts for 238 yards and five TDs. He added 50 yards rushing with two more scores.



With Weathers being a senior, he is picking up right where he left off last year. In 2011, he was district MVP and an all-state selection at the QB position for the the state champion Guard.

Weathers also helps with the East Texas Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and Path Caring Kitchen, all while being a member of the National Honor Society.

“Will is a tremendous leader,” Terry Pirtle, Brook Hill head coach said. “He has had an incredible district campaign so far, going 22 for 27 passing with 458 yards and eight touchdowns with zero interceptions. He is our team leader, team captain and is having a great senior season. Plus, he is an incredible influence for our younger students at Brook Hill.”
