FAIRFIELD — Cayuga went 1-1 in pool play at the Fairfield Tournament, beating a Class 5A school in the process.
Cayuga, a 2A school, beat Bryan 57-48 behind 26 points from Madison Spears. Princeton then beat Cayuga 41-38 despite 15 from Spears.

Hawkins goes 1-1 in Winona Tournament
WINONA — The Hawkins Lady Hawks split a pair of games in pool play of the Winona Girls Basketball Tournament on Thursday.
In the first game, Hawkins scored a 55-21 win over the Winona junior varsity. Bre Lemons led the Lady Hawkins with 20 points.
Also helping the effort for Hawkins were Alisha Taylor (9 points, 3 rebounds, 5 steals), Madison Staruska (6 points), Haley Boyd (6 points), Kalyn Wesley (4 points, 9 rebounds), Allyson Edwards (4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals), Shalie Williams (2 points, 2 steals) and Destiny Chapman (2 points).
Hawkins fell to Rusk 36-35 in the second game.
Taylor led Hawkins with eight points, seven rebounds and two steals. Also helping the effort for Hawkins were Lemons (6 points, 8 rebounds), Edwards (6 points), Williams (4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals), Staruska (4 points, 4 steals), Chapman (3 points), Olivia Simmons (2 points, 3 rebounds) and Wesley (2 points).
