Patriots win seventh straight

HAWKINS — Brittany King had a double-double and UT Tyler won its seventh straight game, a 63-55 decision over Jarvis Christian College in a women’s basketball game Monday.
King scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Patriots (8-3).
“It was tough game on the road,” UT Tyler coach Kevin Baker said. “Hopefully, this prepares for two tough conference games later this week.”
The Patriots play Concordia-Texas on Thursday (5:30 p.m. women, 7:30 p.m. men) and Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday (1 p.m. women, 3 p.m. men). Both games are scheduled for the Herrington Patriot Center.
Teylor Seals led the Patriots with 15 points, while Danai Woods added 11.
Ivory Russell paced the Lady Bulldogs (3-6).
