DENTON — Abby Halbrook, a senior at Robert E. Lee, finished fifth in the prestigious Marcus Invitational on Saturday.

Halbrook ran to a time of 18 minutes and 26 seconds.

REL coach Dennis Baker said Halbrook’s time is the fifth fastest in Texas this season.

Halbrook will try to defend her title at the Tyler Lee Classic on Saturday at UT Tyler.
