Canton jumped out to an eight-point first quarter lead and never looked back in a 65-55 win over All Saints at the Bruce G. Brookshire Family Student Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

Canton’s Brad Wiggins knocked down three treys and scored a game-high 17 points, 11 of those in the final half.

Kelby Nixon scored eight of his 13 points to pace the Eagles to a 32-17 halftime lead.

All Saints pulled within 10 three times in the third quarter and twice early in the final quarter before Wiggins and five of Ryan Anderson’s 11 points sealed the win for Canton.

The Trojans came out of the intermission with 21 points in the third period and eight players making at least one basket. Closing the game to the closest it would be, Brice Borgeson scored two of his nine points to make it 46-38 as the third quarter wrapped up.

Aston Francis took over for the Trojans in the final period to score seven of his 11 points. Francis closed out the Trojans scoring with a strong baseline basket, was fouled and converted the old-fashioned 3-point play for the 65-55 final score.

Spencer Ball and Jaired Maddox scored 6 points apiece for All Saints, while Matthew Brunson and Cameron Huckabee scored 4 points each in the loss.

Canton’s Reese Frosch was in double-digits with 10 points and teammates Jared Grace and Joey Gann added 5 points apiece to aid in the win.
