Burgoon Wins Twin Lakes Open

CANTON — Bronson Burgoon, of The Woodlands, rolled to a seven-stroke victory in the Twin Lakes Open on Friday at Twin Lakes Golf Course.

Burgoon won the $61,000 Adams Golf Pro Tour event with a 20-under 268, which included a final roud of 1-under 71 on the lush Twin Lakes course.



With his victory last week in the Garland Classic at Firewheel, Burgoon becomes the first back-to-back winner on the Adams Tour since 2008.

For his effort, Burgoon won $10,550. Kevin Tway, of Edmond, Okla., was second at 275. Placing third was Herbert Day of Houston at 277.

Burgoon was a member of the 2009 Texas A&M national championship team,.

Tway is the son of PGA Tour golfer and 1986 PGA Championship winner Bob Tway.

Ryan Myers, of Flint, finished 17th with a total of 285. He had a final round of 73. He won $1,225.

Palestine’s Jeremy Frye finished 29th with a 294.

He had a final round of 76. He won $805.
