Bowman leads Bullard to 35-21 win over Brownsboro

BULLARD — Cleet Bowman passed for four touchdowns as the Bullard Panthers earned a 35-21 homecoming win over Brownsboro Bears Friday.
Bowman put the Panthers on the scoreboard first hitting Major Tennison on a 94-yard scoring pass in the first. Alonzo Oliveros’ added the PAT for a 7-0 lead.
The Bears’ Kevion Ross scored the first of his two TDs in the second on a 21-yard carry. Luis Suarez extra point tied the game at 7-7.
Bullard followed that score with a pair of its own before halftime, one on a 72-pass to Nic Costas and the other on a 30-yard toss to Costas. Two Oliveros’ points-after made it 21-7.
Bullard (2-1) extended its lead to 28-7 in the third on a 47-yard pass from Bowman to Ty Crayton.
The Bears (0-3) made it 28-13 before the quarter ended on a Ross’ 1-yard scoring run.
Both teams found the end zone in the fourth with Bullard scoring first on a 10-yard carry by Crayton. The Bears closed out the scoring on a 19-yard run by Jamal Bell.
