Apache Ladies sweep two matches

The No. 9 ranked Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies scored two 3-0 wins on Friday during the first day of the Fourth Annual Coach Dana Hatch Invitational Volleyball Tournament at Wagstaff Gymnasium.

TJC defeated Gulf Coast State (Fla.) in the first match and later won over Vernon in second match.

The Apache Ladies (2-0) continue their tournament today with a 10 a.m. match against No. 20 Western Texas, followed by a 2 p.m. match against No. 13 Blinn.

Following the tournament, TJC will play host to North Central Texas on Wednesday. The match has a 1 p.m. start.
