Peter Stefan Tkach

Peter Stefan Tkach passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at the age of 71. He was born on September 24, 1947 to Jarslov Peter and May Dee Tkach in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Winona High School and Tyler Junior College.

Peter was one of a kind. He loved God, his family, and his church. He loved horses and cows, spending time outdoors on his farm or hunting, adventure, and he loved to dance. He served in the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker, serving 31 1/2 years at the Tyler Fire Department, retiring as Captain. He was a devoted family man, whose family reached beyond blood, and he was always willing to lend a hand and offer advice.



He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Janette; children Amy Corley and husband Chad, Stefanie Adair and husband Jason, and Luke Tkach and wife Shiloh; and grand children Steven Key, Emery Adair, Keylee Adair and Marlie Adair.

A visitation will be held at Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, in Tyler, Texas Friday the 26th of April from 5:30 – 8:00. The funeral will be at Cross Brand Cowboy Church on Saturday at 4:00 and interment will be at Harris Creek Cemetery under direction of Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
